OLTRE IL GHETTO - STORIES OF FREEDOM

“Beyond the Ghetto” is the narrative competition announced within the Su.Pr.Eme. project (South Protagonist in overcoming Emergencies in the field of serious exploitation and serious marginalization of foreigners regularly present in the 5 least developed regions) and the P.I.U. Su.Pr.Eme. project (Individualized Paths to Exit from Exploitation) to promote an awareness-raising action on the issue of labor exploitation of third-country nationals through a renewed culture of legality and reception.

In three editions, stories of redemption and liberation from the corners of Puglia, Calabria, Campania, Basilicata and Sicily have been collected and put into words and images, in the belief that narration is the most powerful form of communication, so powerful that it can generate change.

The 2023 contest was divided into 4 sections: stories of redemption and freedom; stories of ethical businesses against labor exploitation; illustration; journalism award.

Italia Program (South Protagonist in overcoming Emergencies in the field of serious exploitation and serious marginalization of foreigners regularly present in the 5 least developed regions) is financed under the AMIF funds – Emergency Funds (AP2019) of the European Commission – DG Migration and Home Affairs.
