Moises
Among the sun-drenched fields of Capitanata, during the tomato season, seasonal farm laborers return to informal settlements to face hard work, often without alternatives. In this context, the Integrated Social Hub of Foggia promotes a path out of the ghetto, accompanying men and women toward dedicated guest houses and toward farms that guarantee regular contracts and dignified conditions.

The change, welcomed with hope but also distrust, opens the possibility of rewriting life paths marked by exploitation, missing documents, and precariousness. The story of Moisés and Yancouba, two farm laborers united by friendship and the same struggle for rights, proves that leaving the ghetto is possible: thanks to active local networks, workers can reclaim denied rights, access essential services, and build a less vulnerable life. The story tells of a real change that starts in the fields but reaches as far as the workers’ awareness of their own rights and possibilities.
